Where is the Playground Located ?

The City of Palo Alto has generously donated the land in an unused area of Mitchell Park in Palo Alto. The park is conveniently located near Hwy 101 and I-280 on Middlefield near Charleston Road.

Why Do We Need Another Playground?

The Bay Area has no playgrounds that are fully wheelchair accessible. The Magical Bridge Playground will allow children and adults with special needs to fully engage in the playground experience. Having such a place will promote greater acceptance and inclusion of all people.

Who Will This Playground Benefit?

People of all ages with varying abilities will be able to enjoy the magic of true accessibility. The smooth pathways will be friendly to wheelchairs, leg braces, walkers and the visually impaired. The shady area will provide respite to older adults and reduced stimuli for those with conditions such as Autism, Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy.
