What Makes This Playground Unique?
Inspired by a growing local need, this playground is a collaboration among many in our community. Designed by therapists and created by parents to be fully ADA-compliant, the Magical Bridge Playground will provide a legacy for future generations.
Magical Bridge Features
• Ramping systems will enable a wheelchair to travel the entire length of the play structure
• Smooth rubber surfacing (instead of traditional bark or sand) will be friendly to those with limited mobility
• Playhouse structure and community stage will be fully accessible to inspire everyone‛s imagination
• Raised sand table will bring sand play to a child in a wheelchair
• The Quiet Corner will invite people to gather, rest, or maybe
play a game of chess
Proposed Site Plan
The site plan gives an impression of the vision we are striving to accomplish.
The park site is a shady wonderland and no trees will be cut down to accommodate the
fully-accessible play structure. |
