Elaine Captain

From the moment she discovered Magical Bridge Playground in Palo Alto with her daughters in 2017, Elaine became fascinated with the Foundation’s work to create truly inclusive public spaces that fostered authentic and meaningful connections across every”body” in a community.  In 2019, Elaine joined Magical Bridge’s Advisory Counsel and later served on its Board of Directors. In January 2023, Elaine joined the Magical Bridge team as its COO and will focus on developing long-term partnerships across stakeholder groups to support Magical Bridge’s work in building more inclusive communities on and off the playground.  Prior to joining Magical Bridge, Elaine served as Vice President of Investments at Second Horizon Capital – an Impact Real Estate Investment Firm, Director of Investments at Harrison Street Capital – a leading investment management firm focused on alternative real assets, and Director of the Stanford Research Park. Elaine holds a B.S. and B.A. in Finance and International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management.
