About the event
The AstroBruins Robotics Team, a local FIRST Tech Challenge team from the Santa Clara/Sunnyvale area, is bringing the excitement of robotics to the playground!
Throughout the day, the AstroBruins will showcase both small LEGO robots and larger, competition-scale robots — including live demonstrations of robots moving and performing. Team members will share how gears, levers, and linkages work, making connections to the spinning, sliding, and swinging features of the Magical Bridge Playground.
This interactive event is designed to spark curiosity in children and adults alike, showing how engineering principles can be both fun and accessible. Visitors are encouraged to stop by anytime during Community Partner Day to watch, learn, and ask questions.
