Cruyff Foundation
Bridging sport and play
We’re proud to bring co‑located Cruyff Courts and Magical Bridge Playgrounds to select sites in the Netherlands. Partnering with the Cruyff Foundation combines their sport, coaching, and leadership programs with Magical Bridge’s inclusive playgrounds to create community hubs that improve health, engage youth, and foster belonging. Our first location will be in Lelystad with more in development.
HP
Bridging art and play
Magical Bridge Foundation’s partnership with HP—Forging a Future Where Every Talent Shines—brings artwork by disabled artists to our playgrounds. Our Santa Clara and Mountain View sites feature pieces from Creativity Explored, a San Francisco studio that has supported hundreds of neurodiverse artists since 1983. We look forward to expanding the collaboration to include artists from AbilityPath and others.
City of Palo Alto
Delivering inclusive community programs
Presented by Magical Bridge in partnership with the City of Palo Alto, the Palo Alto Magical Series welcomes people of all ages and abilities to events, classes, and activities on the Magical Bridge Playground in Mitchell Park and across Palo Alto. Explore our events!
Schmidt Family Foundation
Advocating for inclusive play
Founded by Eric and Wendy Schmidt, this transformative partnership for Magical Bridge addresses solutions for societal challenges. Through annual $100,000 grants since 2024, their generosity has enabled us to build a scalable model to bring inclusive design and companion programming to communities worldwide. In 2025, their support helped fund the documentary "Magical Bridge: Kind By Design," which is now screening at film festivals and academic spaces to extend the message that inclusive design is truly magical for everyone. Stanford University
Teaching inclusive design
Perspectives in Assistive Technology, taught by David Jaffe, covers design and use of assistive technologies for people with disabilities and older adults. Students work in teams on real community challenges — including developing innovative play experiences for Magical Bridge playgrounds.
