About the event
The event will focus on the initial phases for a proposed mixed-use, transit-oriented development at the VTA River Oaks property (currently VTA’s headquarters), located along the Guadalupe River.
The initial project phases envision transforming a portion of the site into a vibrant, connected, and sustainable community, including:
Approximately 300–350 new affordable family homes for rent
A new 3.4-acre public park along the Guadalupe River with a variety of public outdoor amenities including a new all-inclusive Magical Bridge Playground!
We see this as an important opportunity to hear from local community-based organizations that are deeply connected to the neighborhood. The event will introduce the early vision for the housing and park and, most importantly, gather community insights around local needs, values, and priorities to help shape the project moving forward.
